1962 Journalists record of the 1000 KM de Paris Linas Montlhery Ferrari 250 GTO.

Here we have a pretty unique set of documentation... it is the complete set of items collected and drawn up during the 1962 1000KM race at Paris by German motorsports journalist Alfred Brinkmann.

Not less than 16 (!) Ferrari 250 GTO's in the entry list for the event and amazingly enough, the race was won by Pedro & Ricardo Rodriguez on... Ferrari GTO!

The set consists of the following:

  • Near mint race program book (some handwritten notes inside)
  • 2 color photos + 1 color slide of the # 16 Ferrari 250 GTO (S/N 3445GT) of Nino Vaccarella & Carlo Abate up on the banking
  • Press card
  • A B&W (vintage) photo of the start
  • Color photo + color slide of the pits area with the # 11 Ferrari 250 GTO (S/N 3647GT) of John Surtees & Mike Parkes being refueled
  • A color slide of the Rogriguez brothers in the winning # 1 Ferrari 250 GTO (S/N 3987GT), looks to be before the race
  • A stenciled page from the organizers with the best lap times in each class with handwritten notes by Brinkmann
  • A B&W photo of the Rodriguez brothers looking on while their Ferrari is being tended to in the pits
  • A B&W photo of the # 16 Ferrari GTO being tended to in the pits
  • A stenciled page from the organizers with the final standings with lots of handwritten notes by Brinkmann on the back

A HIGHLY interesting set!

1963 Targa Florio Print of Ferrari 250P SN 0810 and Simca Abarth 1300 Bialbero.

This is a vintage 1964 print of a pits scene during practise for the 1963 running of the Targa Florio.

It shows the # 174 Ferrari 250P of Mike parkes & John Surtees (accident after 4 laps) and the Abarth Simca 1300 Bialbero # 40 of Enzo Buzzetti & Renzo Sinibaldi (DNF after 2 laps).

The Ferrari is S/N 0810 which survives to this day in the USA.

The print COULD come from Castrol Oil as we have seen similar images in Castrol publications of that era and it measures some 25 x 18 cm or 10 x 7 inches.

It is in near mint condition.

Only 1 pc. available of course.
